Actor Mahira Khan voiced her support for Junaid Hafeez, a Multan university teacher who was sentenced to death over trumped up charges of blasphemy, after more than six years of incarceration.
The actor, in her tweet, hoped that there will be equality for all and that one-day innocent citizens of the country will not be punished like this.
Hope. Faith. Change. These are all things we associated with the new government. Hope that there will be accountability for all. Faith that there will be equality for all and change that will forever rid us of persecuting innocent citizens. @PTIofficial #JunaidHafeez
