Foreign Office Conveys Reservations About Indian Propaganda To P5
Islamabad

Pakistan’s Acting Foreign Secretary Moazzam Ahmad Khan has conveyed the country’s reservations to the resident ambassadors of the United Nations Security Council’s Permanent Five (P5) members about the Indian propaganda against Pakistan.

According to a report in Dawn, the Foreign Office (FO) in a statement said that the foreign secretary, in his meetings with the ambassadors, had stressed upon the ‘aggressive and belligerent statements’ issued by India, especially its military which had made ‘baseless and unsubstantiated’ allegations of the existence of terrorist camps in Pakistan.

Recently, claims of the activation of ‘terrorist camps’ in parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir had been made by Indian military commanders.

The FO in its statement informed that similar claims were being shared on Indian media. The statement further added that such statements were an attempt to divert attention away from Indian atrocities in Kashmir since the revocation of Article 370 and 35A of the Indian constitution.

According to the statement, the FO has conveyed to the P5 that Pakistan would give a ‘befitting response’ in case of any Indian ‘misadventure or false-flag activity’.

Moreover, the FO has called on the P5 countries to ask India to substantiate its claims about the existence of terror camps in Pakistan.

The P5’s resident ambassadors were also informed by the FO that Pakistan would be willing to fully cooperate if any diplomats or delegates of the P5 wished to visit locations where India had alleged that terrorist camps existed.
