ATC Issues Non-Bailable Arrest Warrants For PTI’s Aleem Khan
LAHORE: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Friday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Aleem Khan in the Pakistan Television and Parliament House attack case of 2014.

The court issued the warrants after the PTI leader’s continuous absence from court proceedings despite being summoned for hearing many times in the past.

The ATC judge overseeing the case ordered the authorities concerned to arrest Aleem Khan and produce him in court by September 30.

Earlier, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had arrested the PTI leader for owning assets beyond means and for having an offshore company. He was taken into custody when he appeared before NAB Lahore.

He was later granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC) after submitting a surety bond amounting to Rs10 million. According to NAB’s statement issued back then, Aleem Khan had established multiple companies focused on real estate business and invested millions of rupees in those entities.
