Army Chief General Asim Munir and Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General hold two separate interactive sessions with university students to diffuse negative propaganda being spread by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) overseas through social media among the youth of the country.
While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said the army chief has formulated a strategy according to which interactive sessions will be conducted with the youth.
He said that five to six army generals, including the army chief, DG ISI, DG ISPR, and three corps commanders, will visit universities in big cities to counter the negative propaganda of the PTI.
The analyst said that the PTI overseas members are doing vlogs and making trends against the army. He said, “We cannot term the Army’s strategy to counter negative propaganda against the institution as ‘interference in politics;’ in fact, it is the need of the hour.”
Suharwardy also said that the army should not run businesses in the country as its role is just defense of the country.
While responding to a question, the analyst said that two outlawed outfits, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, clashed with each other, due to which eight militants of both terrorist groups were killed. He said that the clash will emerge as a breakthrough for the country to eliminate a large network of terrorism.
During the program, Future Fest founder Arzish Azam said that the IT industry is not flourishing in Pakistan, adding that teaching IT skills should be on the national agenda to enhance the economy of the country.
