One of retired Indian army officer and journalist, Gaurav Arya quoted Dhoni as ” Lt Col MS Dhoni” due to his association with Indian paramilitary forces in the past.
Whether or not, Dhoni would be allowed to keep the gloves is yet to be seen. Fans, on the other hand, can find out sooner or later in the next Indian game against Australia on Sunday.
ICC rules clearly state that ” equipment and clothing regulations do not permit the display of messages that relate to political, religious or racial activities or causes during an international match.
