DI KHAN: It seems there is no end to the violence against media persons as unidentified gunmen shot dead another journalist, Malik Amanullah, in the Paroa tehsil of DI Khan.
According to details, Malik was on a visit to a village on Tuesday when the two bike riders opened fire at him near Lunda Sharif in the precincts of the Gomal University Police Station.
Malik, 35, who was a tehsil correspondent of Daily Meezan-e-Adl, died on the spot. His last Facebook post was a story of Meezan-e-Adel about the alleged corruption in a local sugar mills.
The victim’s father in the FIR did not nominate any person and said they didn’t have enmity with anyone.
Meanwhile, the residents – especially politicians and active members of society – of Paroa are feeling unsafe due to the alarming rise in the incidents of targeted killings during the last few months.
