Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawmaker, Dewan Sachal, has criticised Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari over a tweet by a secretary of her ministry saying that Pakistan has overtaken Italy in the number of covid-19 cases.

Secretary of Human Rights Ministry Rabiya Javeri Agha posted a tweet, expressing her opinion on the coronavirus situation in the country. She had said, “Bravo we have overtaken Italy in the number of Covid-19 cases. Now the 11th highest country with 244,000 infected people.” The tweet was deleted when the PTI leader quote tweeted her and complained.

In response to the tweet, Dewan Sachal, a Hindu lawmaker of PTI from Sindh, said: “Dr Shireen Mazari control your office staff. They never had the guts to criticise the sitting governments of PPP and PMLN but somehow PM Imran is fair game for them. As a member of PM Imran’s cabinet you have a duty to defend him instead of only indulging in self praise.”
