Punjab Information Minister Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan has said that lawyers who attacked the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) attempted to kidnap him.
Lawyers gathered today outside PIC to protest a recent incident of altercation between doctors and lawyers. During the protest, lawyers got violent and barged into the hospital, breaking into the emergency ward, beating up doctors, nurses, and even patients and woman journalists. A police van was also set on fire.
During the protest, Information Minister Fayyaz Ul Hassan Chohan went to PIC to negotiate with the lawyers. The minister was violently attacked by the lawyers.

While talking to media following the attack, Fayyaz Chohan stated that the lawyers present at PIC had attempted to kidnap him.
