Former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh will be part of the celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib and will join the group which would be making the journey across the Kartarpur Corridor following its inauguration in November.

The Kartarpur Corridor connects the Sikh shrines of Dera Baba Nanak Sahab in Indian Punjab to Gurdwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur (Kartarpur Gurdwara) in Pakistani Punjab. The celebrations to mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Sahib will include a pilgrimage from the Sikh shrine in Indian Punjab across the corridor to Kartarpur Gurdwara.

A news report in India Today and NDTV quoted the Indian Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh as saying that Manmohan Singh had accepted his invitation to be part of the group that would make the journey to Kartarpur Gurdwara.

The CM of Indian Punjab had shared on Twitter that he invited Manmohan Singh to be part of the batch of pilgrims who will visit the gurdwara in Pakistan through the Kartarpur corridor.
