Prime Minister Imran Khan is facing criticism for once again insultingly mimicking Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto on the floor of the House.
The premier, while addressing the lawmakers in National Assembly on Tuesday, mocked Bilawal's statement on rains and flooding, mimicking the PPP chairman (also making fun of his Urdu) to say “when it rains, water pours down. When it rains more, more water pours down.”
This isn’t the first time that the prime minister has made fun of PPP chairman’s style of Urdu speaking. In November last year, PM Imran did the same at the inaugural ceremony of Havelian-Mansehra section of the Hazara motorway.
Twitterati have condemned the premier’s behavior that he showed up in the national assembly during a national crisis. “Apparently the biggest struggle for Imran Khan is to remain dignified which he fails miserably at each time. Embarrassing and pathetic that this is the Leader of our country,” tweeted a social media activist.

PM Imran during his speech also hit back at the opposition for their criticism of the government's economic performance and calling for his resignation.
"I have been hearing from 1988 ... they (opposition leaders) go to the West and say save me, I am liberal and moderate but the rest are extremists. If you don't save me, the extremists will take over Pakistan," he said, adding that the opposition leaders aren’t liberal but ‘liberally corrupt’.
