Police Orders Non-Local Transgender Persons To Leave Swat
SWAT: Police in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) asked non-local transgender persons to leave the district blaming them for bringing a bad reputation to the region by spreading ‘vulgarity’.

In a video shared by journalist Izharullah on Twitter, police can be seen telling the transgender persons not to roam in the markets while wearing women’s attire and applying lipstick and makeup. He also ordered them not have hair extensions.

The police officer can be further seen telling the transgender persons that locals were reaching out to them for sex due to their appearance. He also asked them to have their HIV tests conducted as well.

The police officer told them that the decision has been taken after consultation with members of the ‘civil society’ and local community members.
