Mir Shakilur Rahman’s Brother Javed-ur-Rahman Passes Away In Karachi
The publisher of Jang Media Group and Mir Shakil-ur-Rehman's elder brother Mir Javed-ur-Rahman has passed away.

Mir Javed-ur-Rahman was being treated at a private hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Karachi. According to the hospital, he was suffering from lung cancer.

Under the leadership of Mir Javed-ur-Rehman, the Jang Group became the leading media house in Pakistan, operating newspapers, magazines, and TV channels across the country.

On Monday, Minister for Human Rights Shireen Mazari sent a letter to NAB chairman, requesting him to not oppose a 48-hours parole for Mir Shakeelur Rehman, so that he could pay a visit to his critically ill brother.

Despite the pressure from the journalists’ bodies and civil society, Mir Shakil-ur Rehman – who is currently in the custody of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) – was not allowed to see his cancer-patient dying brother Mir Javed-ur-Rehman.
