Lux Style Awards (LSA) is receiving massive backlash on Twitter for nominating Ali Zafar in the Best Actor Category despite allegations of sexual misconduct against him by singer and fellow actor Meesha Shafi.
LSA announced the full list of the nomination on Saturday night and the condemnation was swift with many Netizens calling for boycotting the event.

The film industry for now remains mum over the controversy as it did last year when Shafi accused Zafar of inappropriate behavior.
However, model Eman Suleman one of the few voices who have spoken about sexual harassment in the industry posted a video on Instagram stating that she is not comfortable sharing an LSA nomination with someone accused of harassment.
Last month Suleman also called out the entertainment industry for shielding sexual predators.
Zafar has been nominated for Teefa in Trouble, a big hit at the box office. Others actors nominated for best category include Adnan Malik for Cake, Ahmed Ali Butt for Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, Fahad Mustafa for Load Wedding and Mohammad Ahmed for Cake. Other than film, LSA also give out awards in the field of fashion, film, music, and television.
