Development in the Faizabad sit-in review case will occur when Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa issues a summons to Lt Gen (retired) Faiz Hameed.
While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that during the first hearing of the Faizabad sit-in review case held yesterday, CJP Isa asked the parties to the case why they were taking back their pleas in the case. He asked several times, but no one had the courage to take the name of Faiz Hameed, who pressured them to file pleas against the previous verdict.
Suharwardy said that the agreement that holds the signature of Faiz Hameed has been made part of the record in the case, but all are trying to save the former army officer.
The analyst said, "If CJP Isa summons Faiz Hameed, then we can say that the case will bring any outcome.”
He also revealed that the National Accountability Bureau is all set to initiate action against 200 individuals, and the list has been finalized in this regard.
The analyst also disclosed that a serving army officer will soon join the NAB as a deputy chairman.
