Abdul Aziz Banned From Entering Lal Masjid's Premises For 3 Months
Former Lal Masjid khateeb Abdul Aziz has been banned from entering the mosques’ premises for three months by order of the capital admiration, Dawn News reported.

Meanwhile, the current khateeb Amir Siddiqui has also been suspended by the Auqaf department. The new khateeb will be appointed in 3 months and until then 10 Muftis from Lal Masjid’s Darul Ifta will be leading prayers, Ehtesham Ahmed, a close associate of the former Lal Masjid administration, informed the publication.

The decision was taken after a meeting between Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat and Ulema, including Mufti Raees Ayubi from Azad Kashmir and Qazi Nisar from Gilgit-Baltistan.

Maulana Aziz was the Lal Masjid khateeb from 1998 to 2004. During the Lal Masjid operation in 2007, he too was arrested.
