Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has issued a statement congratulating the Afghan Taliban on their takeover of Kabul. The TTP also pleaded allegiance to Afghan Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.
“I, on behalf of Mujahidin of TTP, would like to congratulate Ameer-ul-Momineen Hibatullah Akhundzada on this blessed victory. Congratulations to Mullah Yaqub & Mullah Baradar,” TTP chief Noor Wali Mehsud was quoted as saying by journalist Ihsanullah Tipu Mehsud.

The TTP, in the statement, also said that it supported the Afghan Taliban.
Earlier, in an interview with CNN from an undisclosed location, Noor Wali Mehsud said that the TTP was at war with security forces, adding that they would fight to take control of Pakistan's border region and make it independent.
