Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, during the hearing of the case pertaining to his request to broadcast the proceedings of his case live, addressed Justice Umar Ata Bandial and said that one day he could be in his [Justice Isa's] place. "It is not just me. They have prepared files on all judges," he told his colleague, Justice Bandial.
Justice Isa further said that social media brigades of the government are spreading lies about him and he has written letters to the relevant departments in this regard, but no action has been taken. He added that he is unable to defend himself since he does not have a Twitter account. "The entire Supreme Court is being bashed," he said.
Justice Isa added that Abdul Waheed Dogar, the complaint against him, admitted that he was a tout of a state institution.
Attorney General said that the proceedings of the case cannot be broadcast for the public to watch as it might affect the trial.
Justice Isa's wife Sarina Isa said that Prime Minister Imran Khan, Law Minister and PM's adviser Shahzad Akbar tried to remove her husband from his position and illegally acquired their family's records.
