2000-Year-Old Buddhist Structures Discovered In Swat
Archaeologists have unearthed what they consider to be a 2000 year old Buddhist structures in the Sawt, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The archaeologists suspect that these structures date back to pre-Islamic era.

This newly unearthed site consists of buildings such as a monastery, school among others.

Last month Directorate of Archaeology and Museums Khyber Pakhtunkhwa announced that a scientific archaeological excavation at 2000 years old Buddhist site of Aba Saib Chena in Swat district had started.

Aba Saib Chena is Swat’s biggest Bhuddhist region and this was the first excavation of this site by Archeology Department.
