PTI MPA Claims Orphans Living In Peshawar’s Daarul Atfal Being Sexually Abused By Owners
PTI MPA Madiha Nisar has claimed, while addressing the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly, that orphans living at a renowned orphanage in Peshawar, Darul Atfaal, are sexually and physically abused.
She alleged that the orphanage is responsible for sexual and physical abuse of the young orphans presiding there who are also often made to work as labourers.
She further says that the owner, a woman named Yasmeen who’s been running the orphanage for 13 years has been abusing her power. Yasmeen, she alleges, used the funds for the orphanage for her own good and has named her entire family as the beneficiaries.
The children at the orphanage clean the laundary of her entire household and family and are used as free labour.
Madiha Nasir urged the assembly speaker to take an action against the orphanage and to facilitate the orphans there.
Brought a very important issue to the floor of the Provincial Assembly KP and enlightened the assembly about mistreatment conducted towards orphans at the oldest orphanage, Darul atfaal, of Peshawer.
