Female Police Constable Fired For Making TikTok Videos Complains Of Mistreatment
A female police constable was fired by the Punjab police due to TikTok videos over songs that went viral on social media. Wafa Tauqeer made videos on the social networking app TikTok which were seen by her seniors, following which a DSP ordered an 'inquiry' against her. The constable was subsequently dismissed from her post.

In a latest video on social media, Wafa Tauqeer says that she is the only breadwinner of her family and her sudden dismissal has had a toll on her financial conditions. She added that many male constable have appeared in TikTok videos but no action was taken against them. "I accept that I made the video, but I had not spread any vulgarity. I could have been warned or my salary could have been deducted as a punishment", she said.

Social media users have called on the Punjab police to reconsider its decision and reinstate the constable.
