The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has issued a notice to the Pakistan Navy Sailing Club in Islamabad to cease 'illegal construction', warning it that it would be demolished otherwise.
"You were directed to immediately illegal/unathorised construction work of Pakistan Navy Sailing Club," said the notice issued on Monday.
"It has once again come to [the] notice of this authority that illegal/unauthorised construction activities have been resumed and the club has been made functional."

It added, "this is [a] sheer violation of CDA bylaws, which needs to be halted immediately. It may be noticed that if you fail to comply from the date of the issuance of this notice, [then] CDA will take action regarding removal/demolition of illegal/unauthorised structure forcefully at your risk and cost."
According to news reports, the club was inaugurated by Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbas on July 10. It is a large and well-built structure, consisting of several areas for leisure and recreational activities.
Earlier, on September 17, 2019, the CDA had issued a notice to the same club, warning it to stop the construction or face action. It is not clear, however, as to why action wasn't taking against the said construction as the structure.
