Wife Of Corona Patient Goes To Mosque To Tell Worshipers He Should Not Be Let In
PESHAWAR: A woman got her coronavirus-infected husband's entry to the mosque prohibited by going to the mosque and announcing that her husband should not be allowed to enter the premises because he is infected with the virus.

The husband had tested positive but continued to go to the mosque and was putting many others at risk. The woman then took the matter into her own hands and went to the mosque to warn others about his condition.

The woman has requested the journalist to not disclose her location of residence for security reasons.

The Case Fatality Rate (CFR) in Peshawar is the highest in all of Pakistan, which amounts to a 5.49 percent. The whole province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 32 deaths from COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which sets the CFR to 3.82 percent, higher than the 1.88 percent nationwide.

The highest number of deaths since the onset of the pandemic was recorded in KP in a single day, raising the province-wide fatalities due to the infection to 707.

The province diagnosed 459 more patients, taking overall cases to 18,472, according to the health department report.

The reopening of mosques and some of them never shutting down during the lockdown have contributed to the burgeoning number of fatalities nationwide.
