Cleric Who Threatened Justice Isa, Judiciary Remanded Into FIA Custody
An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Islamabad has sent cleric Agha Ikhtidaurddin on seven-day physical remand, days after he threatened Supreme Court judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, other judges and the judiciary in a viral video.

Briefing the court, representative of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) said that they are investigating the case, saying they will recover a few things from the cleric and gather information about any of his accomplices.

Earlier today, the cleric underwent a medical exam to ascertain his current condition. During the hearing, counsel for Iftikharuddin told the court that his client is an honorable citizen and doesn't have to do anything with any crime. He also told the court that Iftikhar has cardiac conditions too, added a news report.

Last week, the Supreme Court issued a notice to the cleric after Justice Isa’s wife Sarina Isa lodged an FIR at the Islamabad’s Secretariat Police Station against the video and the threats hurled toward the judge in it.

On June 19, the top court quashed the presidential reference against Justice Isa and ordered an end to the proceedings against him in the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was asked by the top court to hold inquiry into the properties of Justice Isa’s wife and children and submit the report to the SJC within 75 days.
