Congregational Prayers For Shab-E-Qadar, Eid To Be Observed Across Sindh
KARACHI: Sindh government has on Wednesday announced that congregational prayers for Shab-e-Qadar and Eid will be observed across the province.

Addressing a press conference, Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah said that the congregational prayers will be held on both Shab-e-Qadar and Eid but with necessary precautions in place.

He added that the religious clerics will be engaged by the government to ensure that the safety procedures are followed.

Shah was dismissive of PTI’s Tiger Force, saying that it was not expected to make a meaningful impact in the government’s fight against Coronavirus.

He also claimed that the PTI government in the centre wanted to impose governor’s rule in Sindh as it was its longstanding wish. The federal ministers do nothing other than finding faults with the Sindh government, he added.

Talking on the occasion, Sindh government spokesperson Saeed Ghani also clarified the provincial government’s stance on Ali Day processions. He said that the permission for the Ramzan 21 processions had not been given after experts advised against it. But now that the restrictions on all gatherings have been lifted in the light of the Supreme Court’s decision, there could be no justification for the government to disallow Eid congregations.
