Indian actor and Producer of the well-received Amazon show 'Paatal Lok' Anushka Sharma has had a complaint filed against her under the National Security Act by a BJP lawmaker who also asked cricketer Virat Kholi to divorce her.
An Indian media outlet called Pinkvilla reported that the Hindu nationalists have been upset by the show, claiming it to be insensitive towards the Gorkha community for hurting the Nepali sentiments. He also said that his picture was used without his consent in one of the show’s sequences.
Cinematically and critically, Paatal Lok has turned out to be a giant success due to its crisp storytelling and stellar performances by the likes of Jaideep Ahlawat and Neeraj Kabi.
Nadkishore has also accused the show of portraying him in a bad light and promoting communal unrest. He also spoke to an Indian media outlet and said that Virat Kohli should divorce Anushka for producing the show.
“Virat is a patriot and represents India,” he said.
Anushka has also given fans the hope on Paatal Lok having a second season after its first received huge success. She said ‘if Amazon is willing’ there will definitely be another season.
