Bollywood Director Lashes Out At The Khans Not Speaking Out Against CAA

Bollywood director Anubhav Sinha, while talking to Reuters, said that he is disappointed with the Khans of Bollywood for not speaking out against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

The CAA was passed earlier this month by the Indian Parliament. It allowed everyone but Muslims to seek Indian Citizenship after residing in the country for six years. The act has led to widespread protests all across the country which first started in Assam.

Various Bolloywood celebrities like Rahkumar Rao, Parineeti Chopra, Shonaksi Sinha and Sidharth Malhotra have taken to Twitter to speak out against CAA.

Older Bollywood celebrities have been criticized by people for not speaking out on the act.

According to Sinha, the action of the Khans is unacceptable. They have the power to influence millions and yet they are not speaking out against this draconian law.

The report also mentioned that an inside source had told them that the Khans are not speaking because of government pressure. They are not acting on their will but on the pressure being exerted on them.

Most mainstream Bollywood celebrities are following suit in their silence. They have also come under extreme criticism for not speaking up.

Earlier in the year many celebrities were seen taking pictures with PM Modi and thanking him for his service
