First Ever Sikh Officer To Be Commissioned in Pakistan Army

Major Harcharn Singh is the first-ever Sikh officer to be commissioned in Pakistan Army. Singh who was born in Nankana Sahib which is also the birthplace of Guru Nanak, founder of Sikh religion.

Since Singh`s induction into the Pakistan Army, he has received immense applaud for serving with the armed forces. Singh`s pictures have made rounds on social media time and again.
It was back in 2017 when DG ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor conveyed felicitation messages from the Chief of Army Staff on twitter.

Singh was commissioned in 2007 after graduating from Pakistan Military Academy 116th long course from 2005 to 2007.
