There were reports that he needs an urgent liver transplant and some people had even used social to make an appeal, but his brother Ali Hamza clarified the situation, saying he didn’t require liver transplant and his condition was improving.

Hamza in a social media post said there was no need to panic as yet and Ali would very soon be back on his feet. “He has suffered an intense bout of Hepatitis A. There is a possibility of liver damage, but he’s being monitored by the best in the business.”

About the donors, he said, “As for needing a liver donor, the doctors are saying that we do need to have people on standby, but they can only be family members – our local law does not allow outside of family donors.”
