Zardari Production Orders To Be Issued On Friday: NA Speaker
Islamabad: National Assembly Speaker, Asad Qaiser assured the Pakistan People`s Party Leaders that a production order for the former president will be issued by Friday. Zardari who is currently in custody will be able to attend the assembly session next week.

Reportedly, a delegation of PPP led by former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf called on Qaiser to ask for the issuance of production orders. Ashraf`s request also demanded the same for PTM MNAs Ali Wazir and Mohsin Dawar who were earlier arrested in the aftermath of Kharqamar Checkpost incident.

The delegation met Qaiser upon the directives of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who had tasked them to take the issue with the custodian of the house.

Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly, Shahbaz Sharif demanded issuance of production orders for Asif Ali Zardari in the same manner as they were issued for him. He was of the view that NAB should have appreciated the former president`s regular cooperation who regularly appeared before courts preventing any delays in the case.

“Asif Ali Zardari’s production order should be issued by today, just as my production ordered was issued earlier,” Shahbaz said on Monday as reported by Samaa.

National Accountability Bureau arrested the former president on Monday, June 10 in Fake Accounts case after his pre-arrest bail application was rejected by the Islamabad High Court.

In the same case, several close aides of the former president are already under the corruption watchdog's custody, Zardari and his sister, Faryal Talpur, on the other hand, received interim bail multiples times before it was rejected on Monday.

According to sources, Qaiser while assuring a production order for Zardari did not do the same for PTM MNA`s in custody.
