Officials Rescue 90 People Trapped in Patriata Cable Cars For 10 Hours
Holiday turned into a harrowing experience for 90 individuals on vacation to Murree when they got stuck for 10 hours inside cable cars in Patriata, Geo News reported. Officials rescued the trapped tourists who suffered for almost 10 hours without food and water.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening after strong winds derailed the rope of the cable cars, forcing the chairlifts that the tourists were on to come to a halt. After the storm ended, rescue officials rescued the stuck individuals.

However, according to administration officials, the cable service were supposed to be suspended and Assistant Commissioner Murree told The News that ‘’an inquiry will be conducted to probe why the cable cars were still operational and strict action will be taken against those who put lives of people at risk”.
