A protest demonstration was held by Sindhi nationalists outside the National Press Club, Islamabad on Sunday against Bahria Town Karachi (BKT) and the Sindh government, alleging that 'false' FIRs were registered against participants of the June 6 protest outside Bahria Town in Karachi.
According to the protestors, the indigenous people of Sindh who had their land taken from them for the construction of Bahria Town, were peacefully protesting outside BKT and they had nothing to do with the unrest or fire incident created inside the town.
They said that the authorities wrongly booked them for the fire incident despite them not participating in any such violent activity. The protestors further said that the action was taken to silence their voice against Bahria Town's land grab.
