No Meeting Planned Between Imran and Modi: Qureshi
JEDDAH: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said no meeting had been planned between Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.

According to Geo News, Qureshi told journalists that Imran had not turned down the possibility of a meeting with Narendra Modi.

He said there was a great need for the Indian leadership to be like Manmohan Singh. Pakistan had always emphasised on talks with India, Qureshi added.

The foreign minister said if the two leaders met on the sidelines of any meeting or event, it would be a positive sign and good beginning for the two neighbouring countries.

Separately, Qureshi said the youth taking to the streets in the Indian-occupied Kashmir showed their state of wariness and their lack of faith in India’s leadership.

The foreign minister was addressing a session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation on Jammu and Kashmir in Jeddah.
