Four Killed Over Love Marriage. Husband Kills Wife Over Dispute
Four individuals were killed over a love marriage-related dispute at Khairpur Tamewali on Bahwalnagar Road, 40 kilometers away from Bahawalpur on Sunday, while in another incident, a husband killed his wife over a dispute.

According to the district police, a youth Raashid had contracted love marriage with Aisha, a resident of Sambrial area in Sialkot district some five months ago. Since then, the parents of the girl had been seeking revenge because the two brought 'dishonour' to the family.



Raashid told police that late at night, Aisha's mother Shagufta, her brother and cousin stormed into their house and opened indiscriminate fire, killing Raashid's father, brother, and sister-in-law. His uncle was severely wounded in the attack who succumbed to his wounds later in the hospital.

On receipt of information, Khairpur police reached the scene and after collecting evidence, shifted the bodies to the THQ hospital for the postmortem examination, Dawn News reported.

None of the suspects were arrested by the time this report was filed.

In another incident, a young woman was strangled to death allegedly by her husband in Awami Colony on Sunday. Police officials said that the woman was found dead near Model Park in Korangi No. 5 within the limits of the Awami Colony police station.



Responding to information, police officials reached the scene and inquired about the incident. The woman’s body was later shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for an autopsy where she was identified as 22-year-old Seema, wife of Nadeem.
