CDA Suspends 4 Employees Over Failure To Solve Citizen’s Complaint
Capital Development Authority (CDA) suspended the service of 4 of their employees over inefficiency in solving a complaint lodged by a citizen, said a notification issued by the civic agency, a copy of which is available with Naya Daur.

A citizen lodge a complaint on Pakistan Citizen Portal established by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The complaint was about a plot which was forcibly taken away from him despite it being his property. The Prime Minister Office forwarded the complaint to Estate Department for necessary action so the matter could be resolved as per the law.

The citizen made repeated visits to the CDA office to hear back from them about the issue but high ups of the Capital’s body told him the matter would be solved only if he gives them bribe.

The complainant then lodged another complaint against the behavior of CDA officials and drew the attention of the authorities towards delaying tactics being employed by CDA officials and their demands for bribe. In a fresh move on special instructions of Prime Minister Office the civic agency suspended the services of 4 of their employs and issued a notification issued in this regard.

The notification added that under regulation 8.05 of CDA employees service regulation-1992 the services of following officers are hereby placed under suspension with immediate effect and until further orders on account of their act of misconduct and inefficiency. It further said that they used delaying tactics. The PMDU officials, accompanying the complainant, visited CDA office to verify the complaint.

The services of the following employees was immediately suspended.

Fareed-u-Din, Addl: Director Estate Affectee/L&R

Inayatullah; Assistant Director L&R

Mohammad Akram; Sub-assistant L&R

Mohammad Ishaque; Sub-assistant L&R

It is pertinent to mention here that the CDA established its own online application system last year, where citizens could lodge complaints. But since last year, more than 12000 applications are pending with the CDA.

A document mentioned earlier that 80% of officials of CDA don’t know how to login into the app and gain access to the complaints.
