Govt takes over JuD headquarter in Lahore
LAHORE: In a surprise move, Jamat-ud-Daawa (JuD) headquarter at Chouburji, known as Qadsia Masjid, has been taken over by the government on Thursday.

According to details, the Prime Minister Imran Khan had ordered crackdown on the banned outfits including Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and JuD in a meeting on Tuesday.

Several leaders and workers of the two organisations had been rounded up during the last two days, and now headquarter of JuD has also been sealed.

Talking to Kamran Khan on Dunya News on Tuesday evening, Director General (DG) of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department of Pakistan army Major General Asif Ghafoor had said that the government had ordered the crackdown after a dossier had been handed to Pakistan by Indian authorities after Pulwama attack.

The ISPR DG added that Pakistan government had demanded evidence from the Indian government of JuD or JeM’s involvement in the Pulwama attack, as accused by India. “Now that they have handed a dossier, we are making arrests so that a probe can be carried out against the people named”, he said.
