PCB Is Not Supporting The Cricket Team: Najam Sethi
London: In a conversation with The News, Najam Sethi remarked that there is prevalent insecurity amongst the Pakistan cricket team. He criticized the PCB for not supporting the team amid deterioating world cup performance.

"Everyone is disappointed at the way team has performed in the World Cup but one shouldn’t press the panic button."

"The PCB isn’t supporting the team and management the way it should be. Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, coach Mickey Arthur, and at least two other players are insecure about their future," Sethi added.

Sethi was rather critical of Prime Minister Imran Khan`s tweets prior to world cup matches.

"If the Prime Minister wants to advise the team, he can go off the record too"

Sethi was of the view that once Imran Khan tweeted, the players might have been under pressure. "When Sarafaraz didn't comply with what Khan said, he is under a lot of criticism now.", he added.

With few matches left, the Pakistan cricket team appears to be in shambles now, especially after the latest defeat by India. Although there still is a possibility of qualifying for the top four, the team has been a target of apparent criticism from all circles.

Some of the players including M Amir and Shoaib Malik took to twitter expressing their views regarding the recent criticism.
