'PTI's Virtual Gathering Cannot Be Termed Political Struggle'

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) virtual gathering is of no importance. It cannot be termed a political struggle of the party as more than 70 percent of attendees were overseas Pakistanis who could not vote in the upcoming general elections.

While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that the PTI held successful rallies in the past because of the political facilitation available to it, adding that the party has no political strength in reality.

The analyst said that no one wants to contest the election on the PTI ticket, and the people of Punjab are not willing to fight for the PTI.

While responding to a question regarding the bail of PTI Senior Vice President Sher Afzal Marwat, Suharwardy said that no one visited Kot Lakhpat jail to provide breakfast to the detained leader. He said that Marwat will not come to Punjab again, as he has realized the mindset of the PTI workers.

To another question, the analyst said that the PTI, with the help of advocate Latif Khosa and a looby of lawyers, is running a campaign against Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faiz Isa and Justice Sardar Tariq Masood.

Suharwardy said that CJP Isa is not a weak person, and he will give a befitting response to those who are running campaigns against him. He added that the Lahore High Court and Peshawar High Court are still facilitating the PTI.
