Following the rift with Prime Minister Imran Khan, the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Jahangir Tareen will reportedly meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif after accepting his ‘special conditions’ in London.
Journalist Kousar Kazmi has reported that Jahangir Tareen has sent third proposal to meet the PML-N supremo. According to the journalist, Nawaz Sharif has asked the PTI leader to address a media briefing in London and confess to all the ‘political engineering’ he did before and after the 2018 General Elections for PTI.
“The special conditions of former premier have become somehow acceptable for Jahangir Tareen now. Thus, the meeting between the two political leaders in on cards,” the journalist claimed in a video posted on Twitter.

In May, PM Imran had returned the gifted bullet proof car to Jahangir Tareen, following the Sugar Forensic Commission (SFC)’s report that noted “double booking, under-reporting and over-invoicing” by Tareen’s JDW sugar mills.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Accountability Mirza Shahzad Akbar, while giving a media talk on SFC report, had said: “The report noted that the mill [JDW] under-invoiced sales from bagasse and molasses which resulted in 25pc cost inflation. They also committed corporate fraud whereby money was transferred from their PLC to their private company. Forward sales, satta, unnamed sales have all been associated with JDW too.”
