Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has been accused of spreading ethnic hatred following his remarks about the Baloch women protesting the disappearance of their men.
The families and relatives of the missing persons have staged a protest at D Chowk, Islamabad to demand the recovery of their loved ones. Responding to a tweet regarding this, the minister replied that these mother can protest in Punjab without showing their ID cards whereas they can’t do the same in Balochistan without the fear of being attacked. The minister implied that the Baloch are free to operate in Punjab but Punjabis are killed in Balochistan.
Activists and politicians criticised the minister for what termed a callous attitude.
