Ehsanullah Ehsan, former TTP spokesperson who recently escaped from the official custody, has hurled death threats at Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. The threats were issued reportedly from the official Twitter account of Ehsanullah Ehsan.
The PPP chairman tweeted that Prime Minister Imran Khan doesn’t call former slain premier Benazir Bhutto a martyr but Osama Bin Laden, a global terrorist, is a martyr for him.
In response to the tweet, former spokesperson of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Ehsanullah Ehsan – who escaped from the custody of Pakistani authorities in January this year – said: “We will continue fighting against the people like you to safeguard the ideological boundaries of Pakistan. Your fate will be same as your mother [Benazir Bhutto].”
The PPP leaders have strongly condemned the death threat issued by the former TTP spokesperson. Secretary Information PPP Dr Nafisa Shah, while giving a media briefing on Tuesday, asked on whose agenda the international terrorist was ‘released’. She said that PM Imran and Home Minister Aijaz Shah have played the role of ‘facilitator’ for Ehsanullah Ehsan, who fled the country from captivity.
“The PPP is not frightened of the threat of Ehsanullah Ehsan, the prayers of the people are with Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the people will themselves protect Bilawal. The nation knows that there is a brotherly relation between PM Imran Khan and the terrorists,” she added.

PPP senior leader Farhatullah Babar, in a tweet, said: “Ehsanullah Ehsan threatened Chairman Bilawal just when a senator belonging to ruling coalition incited the people to fight in Afghanistan & Kashmir assuring also that army will stand behind them. What else to expect when terrorists escape & coalition partners eulogise terrorism?”
