Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has announced his decision to quit the federal cabinet, according to a report by Geo News.
He made the announcement while addressing a press conference in Karachi accompanied by senior Muttahida Quami Movement- Pakistan (MQM-P) party leaders in Karachi. He said that it was useless to be in the government because the MQM-P is 'passing through a new phase'.
The MQM leader reportedly also said that the 2018 general elections were rigged to bring PTI into power.

He further said that the party had not proposed Farogh Naseem's name for the ministry and neither asked for the law ministry.
