Former Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) chief Lt General (retired) Zaheerul Islam has been issued a notice by a family court in a complaint lodged by Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader Palwasha Khan, who has claimed to be his wife.
The former ISI chief has been summoned by the court on January 20 in a family suit filed by Palwasha, according to a report published in The News.
It has also been revealed that the couple has a four year old son from the marriage and Palwasha has sought alimony for her son.
The court has ordered General Zaheerul Islam to appear in person or submit a reply through his counsel by January 20.
In case of noncompliance, the court can initiate ex-party proceedings, the notice further read.
Lt General Zaheer Islam has not publicly spoken about the matter.
