Pakistan Railways’ workers protested against non-regularisation of their services during the inspection visit of Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed at the PR Mughalpura workshop.
During the inspection, the minister announced that a VVIP train from Lahore to Karachi is set to launch on March 30 and Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate it.

The minister also announced that the workers would be paid Rs3,000 as an honorarium if the project is completed timely. However, undeterred by the minister’s offer, the workers kept raising slogans demanding that their services be regularized.
The workers also surrounded the minister’s vehicle. Afterwards, Sheikh Rasheed assured the protesters of “doing something for them”.
