Pakistan Kissan Ittehad leader Malik Ashfaq on Thursday succumbed to injuries that he received at the hands of Punjab police while protesting in Lahore earlier this week.
According to President Pakistan Kissan Ittehad Committee , Chaudhary Anwar, said that Ashfaq succumbed to his wounds on the way to Jinnah Hospital.
Ashfaq was injured by the chemical water and shelling by the police to disperse the protesters.
Chaudary Anwar has demanded the resignation of Capital City Police Officer Umar Sheikh.
The farmers ended the sit-in after negotiations with the Law Minister of Punjab Raja Basharat. Earlier on Wednesday, there were clashes of Farmers with the police in which police used chemical water and tear gas against the protesters
