Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Senator Sherry Rehman has claimed that Pakistan Television (PTV) censored her speech in the Senate. "All other speeches were played", she said.
In a tweet, the PPP leader said that after censoring her, the state TV also censored the speech of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Maulana Ghafoor Haideri.

PTV is often critcised for holding back coverage of opposition leaders' speeches in the Parliament. However, federal minister Fawad Chahudhry, after assuming the charge of Minister for Information, announced that views of the opposition members would also be given space on the state TV.
