'PML-N, PPP Not Willing For Any Sort Of Reconciliation'

There are huge differences between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) over level playing fields in politics, and both parties are not willing to any sort of reconciliation.

While speaking at a program on Naya Daur TV, senior analyst Muzamal Suharwardy said that the PPP leadership is pursuing the policy of targeting the PML-N, and they are not uttering a single word against the PTI.

As a part of its election campaign, the PPP will criticize PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar, and Maryam Nawaz, and it will stay away from criticizing PTI Chairman Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and Farah Gogi, he added.

The analyst said that the PPP will contest elections as per its anti-Nawaz policy to re-attain its voters from Punjab who extended their support for Imran Khan in previous polls.

Suharwardy said that the PPP wants seat adjustments with the PTI, but their leadership is afraid of the establishment.

While quoting PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto’s recent statement that "the prime minister won’t be from Lahore,” the analyst said that it indicates that the PPP is pursuing an anti-PML-N policy.

He said that the PML-N will form an alliance with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in Sindh and will make seat adjustments with it. He said that one of the key leaders of the PML-N will contest elections from Karachi.

While responding to a question, Suharwardy said that former PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry was arrested because he was playing a ‘double game’ and he attended the PTI core committee meeting via Zoom recently. He further said that PTI leader Asad Qaiser was also arrested for being involved in the ‘double game.’
