In a leaked audio, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Khurram Sohail Leghari could be heard threatening Jatoi Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Arshad Virk.
The audio surfaced on Monday, just a day after Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan came under fire for misbehaving with Assistant Commissioner Sialkot Sonia Sadaf.
Dawn reported that the audio purportedly reveals that the MPA wanted to survey a place after hearing complaints of food shortage at Ramzan bazars. However, the assistant commissioner's phone battery died which irked the MPA.
"If you want to fight, I am coming. Tell me where I can come," Laghari threatened the AC. Meanwhile, the AC claims that the MPA was angry because he had refused to favour him in a land dispute that was being heard in his court. He further said that he had told his higher-ups about the matter. According to the AC, there is no shortage of food at the Ramzan bazars.
