PMLN Leader Musaddiq Malik says Imran Khan must apologise and resign for blatantly lying to the nation regarding Nawaz Sharif's health.
Addressing a press conference flanked by Party's Secretary Information Marriyum Aurangzeb and Deputy Secretary General Attaullah Tarrar, Musaddiq said Nawaz is suffering from a medical condition where the blood vessel responsible for supply of blood to his brain is blocked. The PMLN leader went for treatment abroad on the direction of the government's medical board, but the PTI government is continuously lying about his medical condition, he said.
He said an extension in Nawaz's bail would be perused on legal grounds. He pointed out that they during his custody, Nawaz suffered two heart attacks and the entire Punjab government struggled to diagnose his ailment. He said the Punjab government itself said that Nawaz was extremely ill and his treatment was only possible from abroad. He mentioned that Nawaz's dangerously low platelet count was shared by the doctors designated by the government including those called in from. Agha Khan hospital and Dr Tahir Shamsi who too was appointed by the government. Even the CEO of Shaukat Khanum who is Imran Khan's friend testified along with the entire machinery of the Punjab government and the Health Minister held numerous press conferences confirming these facts and recommending treatment abroad.
Musaddiq said Imran Khan and his cabinet were the ones who approved Nawaz's travel abroad.
"Nawaz Sharif has submitted his medical report to the Punjab government as agreed in the court on 4 December, 21 December, 13 January and 12th February and added that all reports were attested by the Doctors Notary Public, London Foreign Office and Pakistan High Commission but the PTI is adamant that the reports are fake.
Under what bilateral arrangement did the Pakistani government write this letter to the UK government because there are no legal grounds for any such action. All this hoopla over Nawaz's health is just a massive distraction campaign away from the plight of the people crushed under this government's incompetence", he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Attaullah Tarrar said the Lahore High Court Bail. Of Nawaz is still in effect. He added that Shehbaz Sharif will stay in London till Nawaz's treatment is completed.
