It seems jingoism has totally overcome the Indians, as Neeraj Goyat – the Indian boxer who originally scheduled to fight Amir Khan on July 12 – posted an image on Twitter with different kinds of guns, with a message that he was fit and ready face the British-Pakistani boxer.
“I am fit now and ready to beat @amirkingkhan, in the ring” said Neeraj as he even tagged the World Boxing Council (WBC) and its president Mauricio Sulaiman in his tweet in a bid to secure a matchup with Amir.
But Amir didn’t remain silent and responded, “Haha you would need more than a gun to beat me!”
Amir and Neeraj were scheduled to face each other in an 'India vs Pakistan' boxing match on July 12 but the injuries sustained by the Indian boxer caused the cancelation of the contest, with Amir facing (and easily defeating) short notice opponent Billy Dib in his stead.
However, now fully healed from what were understood to be severe injuries to his head, face and arm, Goyat is keen to get the bout with Amir back on the table.
