Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that Pakistan's politics would change after the in camera briefing to lawmakers by the military leadership which is to take place later today (Thursday).
While addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Rashid said that the politics would now revolve around national security once the briefing to the Parliamentary Committee on National Security is given.
The military high command will brief the parliamentary committee on the situation in Afghanistan and other related matters of strategic importance.
16 lawmakers have been invited to the meeting. Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa will also attend the briefing while DG ISI Lt Gen Faiz Hameed will likely give the main briefing to lawmakers.
The unusual meeting was announced on Monday, after which Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Babar Awan had said that the briefing will be in camera.
